CATHEDRAL WINDOW PINCUSHION...FOR REAL!

Sorry for what seemed like a tease the other day. I had every intention of posting the pincushion. I had errands to run and then it was overcast and rainy. Being busy ...added to that not a good photo op day. All that being said, here it is. You can click on it to see the handstitching up close. I just loved how it came out. I also loved the fabric I used. I bought it last year in hopes of making some pillowcases for our guest room. It just sat and sat like most of the fabric I buy and fall in love with. It found it's way to being used, but never for what it was for originally.

Here is another view of it.

I had mentioned before I was pretty intimated with this project. A majority of it is handstitching and I wasn't very confident my handstitching was good enough.
Hopefully sometime in the next couple of months I will post a tutorial for you all to use.

that is so beautiful. It makes me want to start on a quilt one again. I didnt like the green on the last one I did so I gave it away. I think I might make a white one with a raibow of colors!

Oh, Cheryl, that is just lovely. Your hand work is perfect! I'm looking forward to the tutorial as I've never made a Cathedral pattern before.

You ladies are sweet. : )

Christina, I know what you mean sometimes I am not pleased with how I have matched colors, but then someone else will see my work in progress and just love it..LOL, they then become the recipient of the quilt.

Sue, you will not believe how incredibly easy it is. It's all about sewing seams correctly and ironing well;and don't worry if you don't think your handstiching isn't fabulous. I didn't think mine was either. It just takes some carefulness and patience.

Hopefully by June I can have the tutorial ready to go. I would like to put into a pdf. As of now, I don't know how to do that. So, looking into that.
